As many of you are already aware, the College has voted to increase the fee from $138 to $150 as of January 1, 2014, despite having determined in 2012 that the fee would not increase for 3 years.
This fee increase is especially onerous to Occasional Teachers who have no guarantee of income. The link contains the letter ETFO President Sam Hammond sent to the College in protest on behalf of members. The other affiliates have also sent responses to the College. I have also attached a letter sent by Julie Pauletig, President of the Ontario Teachers’ Federation.
