This workshop will help educators understand the importance of equitable program design to support multilingual language learners (MLLs). Through whole group learning, interactive discussion, and independent and group practice, members will build their understanding and repertoire with a focus on:
- how to support ELLs’ learning and well-being through programming and planning
- the purpose of accommodations and modifications
- practical instructional, learning resource, and assessment accommodations
- hands-on practice designing program adaptations
- equitable assessment tools and approaches for MLLs
