According to our Local constitution:
“To stand for the office of President, Vice President, or Treasurer, a candidate must have served at least one term previously on the LOTL Executive, unless there is no eligible candidate available.”
Nominations for any executive positions need to be submitted by Wed. May 22. If you have any questions about the election process or the positions, please let me know.
We are looking forward to seeing members at the meeting.
Tentative Local Agreement
The Local negotiating team has reached a tentative agreement with the Board. We will be holding a ratification meeting where every member is invited to a presentation and vote.

An Ounce of Prevention: Give Me Your Socials?!

This conference takes inspiration from the proverb “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” Through workshops and an informative keynote presentation, members will learn how to avoid common pitfalls and challenges in today’s classroom related to current events, technology, and social media. Registration closes on April 26, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. There is a $50 registration fee for this program. Click here for flyers. For more information, contact Tania Kerr at tkerr@etfo.org.
The Local can provide up to $125 per member, per year to reimburse expenses related to attending an ETFO Provincial event according to local guidelines. Single room accommodation or registration fee would be an example of an expense to reimburse.
